Q: How long does it take before I will get my new Powerboard?

A: We keep a large selection in stock for immediate delivery. Normal shipping time is less than a week for all new orders. We keep plenty of boards in stock.

Q: How long do the batteries need to charge before I can ride?

A: They come fully charged, and the average recharge time is 4-5 hours for all boards.

Q: Is this a safe product?

A: If used properly and with a helmet, gloves and leathers, electric skateboards are as safe as almost any sport. Most boards are well made and reliable under normal use. But this is also an 'extreme' product. They're designed for skaters, surfers and snowboarders who want a diversion. They take balance and safety gear (helmet, knee and elbow pads and gloves are important to help assure safety of the rider). It's really easier to ride than just about any other skateboard or longboard because they are very stable. These boards are also very stable downhill. The electronics have been tested under adverse circumstances. However, there is no way to totally eliminate the possibility of electronics failure. This and other concerns create hazards for users of this product.  Riding in traffic is very dangerous and not recommended under any circumstances. This product is not recommended for children, and we do not sell to anyone under age 18. Buyers must be willing to accept these risks and total liability for use of their electric skateboard.

Q: Does the Powerboard require service?

A: Although most Electric Skateboards and Longboards do require maintenance, they save you some significant hassle since they do not rely on a small, temperamental gas motor. Instead, they have a highly reliable electric motor. But with consistent use (hard to resist once you get the feel for your powerboard), it may require maintenance. For example, the drive wheel wears out faster than other wheels, and needs replacing every 350-400 miles or about 25 charges. The batteries are good for up to 400 charges, but they often deteriorate in performance over the last couple hundred charges. Unfortunately, batteries can deteriorate quickly when exposed to adverse conditions (extreme heat or cold). The motor, trucks and deck are almost bullet-proof (the motor is likely to outlast a few sets of batteries).

Q: How do I get my Powerboard repaired if I damage it?

A: There is a limited (3 month) warranty if something goes wrong. If you accidentally break it, you will have to pay to get it repaired.

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for riding?

A: There is no current law that regulates Powerboarding specifically. Some vehicle codes do not allow use of motorized skateboards on city streets and sidewalks. Consult your local municipality for laws governing your area. Powerboards attaining speeds over 15mph are generally not "street legal".

Q. How many people can ride on a Powerboard?

A: They were designed for one person only.

Q: How far can I go?

A:  The full sized boards will generally go as many as 12 miles on a charge, but actual range depends greatly on terrain and conditions.  They can sometimes go up to 18 miles under optimal conditions. The 3.0 and smaller boards have lesser range (eg 8 miles) due to lesser battery capacity.

Q: What type of terrain can the board handle?

A: The boards are designed for asphalt or concrete. They do not have sufficient clearance to go off-road. The boards are designed to maximize performance on smooth surfaces.

Q: What about rain and water?

A: The boards are not sealed and are vulnerable to water so they should be used in dry conditions only. They can take a small amount of water and moisture, but every effort should be made to keep the boards dry.

Q: How long will my Powerboard last?

A:  The trucks, deck, and motor are designed to last for years with heavy use on most boards. The batteries can last for up to 400 charges, but high temperatures or improper charging can lead to much shorter battery life. The drive wheel and belt need replacing about every 350-400 miles or 25 charges. Other wheels last 3-4 times as long (the drive wheel is different from other wheels; it has a toothed gear to handle the belt). Bushings maintain performance for years under normal circumstances.

Q: Are the Boards guaranteed?

A: The boards come with a 30-day money back guarantee and a 90 day manufacturer's warranty.

Q: What's your phone and email?

A: 1-800-659-8731
